Artist Statement

My art career stems from a love for materials and the process of making things in general. I began my journey in to the art world with making functional pottery. I still love the process and am gratified with making pots and using clay as one of my main mediums for making art.

In my more recent work, I have been using multiple materials and processes to build sculptural narratives. Some of this work is a formal exploration of material and how form, elements, and color relate to one another. I have also recently been delving into making visual narratives to tell more specific stories about experiences I have had. Looping dreams, meditative and waking experiences to create somewhat of a visual koan of my world view.
