The artistic legacy of West Texas encompasses a surprising variety of topics visitors can explore in this exhibition. Works of art by internationally acclaimed artist Donald Judd will be featured, as well as photographs and drawings depicting the many petroglyphs and pictographs in the rock art of the region, dating back thousands of years. Drawings and paintings will showcase work by the Texas Regionalists and other artists who traveled through West Texas starting in the 1920s. The modern and contemporary artists who have lived in and visited the region will also be displayed.
