The Museum of the Southwest has hosted free music concerts on its grounds every Sunday evening throughout the summer for more than two decades. These concerts are free to the public and remain a fun community attraction.
This annual, juried arts festival draws artists from far and wide to display their works on the first weekend after Labor Day. Having celebrated its 40th birthday in 2009, SeptemberFest has become the premier arts and crafts event for West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. New visitors discover this event every year, and artists are invited to apply for booth space via ZAPPlication.org.
A holiday tradition of more than a decade, this event delights children and adults from Thanksgiving through the end of the year. With Santa Claus, Saturday choirs and decorations filling the galleries, the Turner Mansion becomes an enchanting place for families. Donations are accepted to keep this tradition alive and to support the operations of the Museum of the Southwest.
A triennial event, Auction is the Museum's biggest fundraiser. With a different theme every three years, this exclusive event is a night of gourmet cuisine, enchanting entertainment and stunning decor. In 2013, see the Mansion taken back in time to the Roaring 20's. The next Auction will occur in 2016, celebrating the Museum of the Southwest's 50th anniversary.
