Approximately 85 works will be selected to be shown during the Midland Arts Association Annual Juried Exhibit in the Turner/Thomas Galleries. The opening reception is scheduled for Thursday evening, March 11, from 7:00 till 9:00 p.m.
Media will include watercolor, drawing, painting, photography, ceramics and mixed media.
Organized by the MAA in cooperation with the Museum of the Southwest, the Juror this year is Ron Pokrasso who has been an exhibiting artist and printmaker for more than 25 years. He received his MFA degree from the Pratt Institute and has had over 40 solo exhibitions and more than 150 group shows. His work is in public, private and corporate collections, and he is represented by numerous galleries as well as being featured in several books. |

At the awards ceremony on March 11th, the winners chosen by Pokrasso will receive their place ribbons, and a minumum of $4,000 in cash will be awarded, too. This year's exhibit co-chairs are Norma Binam and Sara Drescher Braswell. Dr. Mark Cox serves as President of the Midland Arts Association.
