Planetarium Rentals
The Museum of the Southwest offers the opportunity to host special events and parties.The Museum does not rent its facilities for political events, fundraisers, religious ceremonies, or weddings.

Members of the Museum, such as Corporate Members, President’s Club members, and also non-profit organizations benefit from a discount on the rental fees. Generally the fee structure, without a discount, is:

Planetarium –
Full Facility Rental - $750.00. For more information contact Andrew Kerr, 432.683.2882

Multimedia Room (projector, screen, etc.)
During regular public hours. Tables & chairs included
1 - 3 hours $200.00 - $50.00 for each additional hour.
Time includes set-up and clean-up.

Teleconferencing rate is $250.00 per hour (service anticipated in April 2010)

Theater Rental or Private Sky Show ( capacity 99 people)
$250.00 per show or per hour for non-planetarium shows.

Birthday Parties
$250.00 flat fee for classroom and show if arranged through us.
Renter makes all party arrangements.

Security Charges $25 per hour - beginning at 5 p.m. for all events after Museum hours

There is a refundable Clean-up Deposit collected at booking.

Renters of the Facility are responsible for their own food and drink catering. The Museum will provide chairs and tables for indoor events.
