Denny Pickett
Pickett grew up in Midland, Texas, and was educated in Texas. Painting is Pickett's passion. He has painted since childhood and lived and painted in New York City for five years. Upon returning to Texas in 1983, he made a transition from abstract painting to more representational landscape. His painting represents the fusion of these two styles as he perceives the dynamics of the central Texas landscape. He vigorously maintains his career as a landscape painter, showing his work in regional, national, and international exhibitions. The Meredith Long & Company Gallery in Houston, Texas represents him.

Pickett is married to Jan Pickett, a former Williamson County Health District nurse, and has one son Ty, daughter-in law Telisha, and two grandsons, Sebastian and Ahren. The Picketts reside in Granger, Texas.
